Marketing Show North – 2019 Round-Up
Heading to EventCity in Manchester for a two-day expo extravaganza, we recently exhibited at Marketing Show North – the biggest gathering of marketing companies, vendors and suppliers held outside London.
Exhibitions like this are really important to us, they give us a great opportunity to showcase the work we do. With 120+ exhibitors the event held talks from industry experts which proved extremely informative – despite navigating through the crowds, it was extremely pleasurable – with surprisingly great weather to match!
Marketing Methods From Those in the Know
Our business-to-business insight was included in this large-scale networking expo – essential for cultivating the relationships we are looking to establish. With other vendors specialising in everything from print to personalised cupcakes it was an action-packed (and appetising) experience to engage with innovative marketeers.
Our Founder and Director, Georgia Halston spoke on one of the many services we offer – Business Trajectory Consultancy. The intrinsic link between business and marketing strategies, a pivotal focus which captured the attention of the crowd who sought our guidance. From discussing strategies we develop for start-ups right through to advice devised for top-growth businesses and the role of PR. Fellow marketeers were engaged in the ‘holistic approach’ we take.
Another stand out talk was held by Emma Hunt, Head of Marketing for Nichols plc, the home of Vimto. She explained the strategies used in its home and international divisions to keep the long-standing brand current and relevant in testing times. An experienced marketeer, Emma spoke on the struggles Vimto is facing in a fast paced highly competitive market, and the lack of cohesion between marketing, PR and advertising; the very core of what Halston Marketing focuses on.
If you want to know what can be done within the marketing arena to save long standing brands such as Vimto, attending exhibitions that explain the changing landscape of marketing and PR structures can broaden understanding and awareness.
One vendor that captured everyone’s attention was Imageco – did you see the holographic fan? Innovation and creativity are at the heart of everything they produce. That’s why visiting these exhibitions in person is crucial, to see first-hand how innovation is propelling marketing strategies as well as brand exposure. BE PROACTIVE.
The event was essential in forming developing relationships with other marketeers which we feel is still pivotal within a digital age. Key in raising our profile and building our personal and professional reputation.
