Purpose in Practice: How Our Partnership with Out Together Amplified LGBTQ+ Voices

This year for Pride Month, the team wanted to make a real difference for the LGBTQIA+ community, seeking volunteering opportunities within our area. We reached out to Leeds legends, Out Together to offer our services and discuss how we could make an impact.
Proud to Support the Community
Our team connected with Out Together after seeing their incredible reach and influence across West Yorkshire. Committed to connecting generations of the queer community, Out Together lead initiatives combatting important issues such as loneliness, digital literacy and creating a safe space for older generation LGBTQIA+ people.
The All Out Together ball is their annual flagship event, uniting the community whilst raising funds and awareness of their work. It’s a spectacular evening celebrating the queer community, with excellent performances, a fantastic dinner and an electric atmosphere!
Our challenge was to create a centrepiece for the event, to communicate the organisation’s next moves and their initiatives for the next year. Working closely with Chair Tim Gittins and Operations Manager, Matt Jameson we wanted to showcase the charity’s plans for expansion across the region, transporting their same model across different areas of Yorkshire. We needed to feature all the excellent work being done, the impact that donations have made and create a clear call-to-action to encourage people to donate!
Social Impact Through Collaboration
Spearheading this project was myself, Davina and our Creative Executive, Ewan (aka, the dream team).
The creative direction was shaped closely by myself. As Senior Marketing Executive, I had a clear vision: to deliver a video that was visually striking, emotionally resonant, and above all, human. We wanted to spotlight the real stories behind Out Together’s impact, showcasing the lived experiences of its members and making their work feel tangible to potential supporters.
Working collaboratively with Tim and Matt, we took time to understand their goals and the importance of this campaign in securing future funding. From there, we mapped out a considered storyboard, providing prompts to shape the visual journey, key messaging, and interview prompts to ensure every frame reflected the warmth, connection, and purpose behind the charity’s mission.
In pre-production, Ewan and I mapped out a clear visual direction, defining everything from the on-screen aesthetic and motion graphics to how we’d integrate Out Together’s own content, including powerful member stories and ongoing initiatives.

Ewan took the lead on directing and filming the interviews with Tim and Matt, setting the scene, curating lighting and sound, and ensuring the filming environment was both professional and comfortable. Working closely throughout, we made sure the creative approach remained aligned with the sensitivity required when representing diverse communities.
As Creative Director, Ewan executed all the refining, from editing and colour grading to motion graphics and audio work. The final piece reflected Out Together’s brand and tone of voice, designed to work both as a centrepiece for the All Out Together Ball and as an evergreen asset for their wider fundraising efforts and social impact. I also managed technical delivery, ensuring the content was optimised for screen and shared seamlessly with both the client and AV team.
Helping Charities Cut Through with Confidence
The final video premiered as a powerful centrepiece at the All Out Together Ball, moving the audience and igniting support for the charity’s future plans. With a well-paced narrative, emotional resonance, and a clear call to action, the video created an authentic moment that strengthened Out Together’s mission and encouraged meaningful donations.
By applying our values of clarity in storytelling, creativity in delivery, and confidence in execution – we assisted a vital community organisation communicate its future with impact. This project not only showcased our creative and strategic capabilities but also underlined our commitment to using those skills for genuine social impact.
