ReGeneration Earth: Wrapped Up!
The Halston B2B team was delighted to exhibit at the ReGeneration Earth conference on June 18th – 19th. In today’s cluttered sustainability landscape, where greenwashing and vague claims dominate, we were there to champion something different: authentic, evidence-based sustainability communications.
Our sustainable storytelling services cut through the noise by delivering clarity, accuracy, and transparency. We help businesses communicate their genuine sustainability efforts in ways that resonate with stakeholders and drive real impact. At the conference, we shared our expertise through a hands-on Sustainable Storytelling workshop, giving attendees practical insights into communicating sustainability initiatives that actually move the needle.
Our CEO, Georgia Halston even chaired a dynamic panel: ‘Greening UK Manufacturing: Innovative Leadership in Sustainable Production’ which explored how UK manufacturers are embracing sustainability through innovative leadership and practices.
Here’s a roundup of ReGeneration Earth, from the whole team!
Georgia Halston, CEO of Halston B2B
“Walking into day one, I wasn’t quite prepared for how deeply those opening speakers would resonate with me. She perfectly captured something I’d been feeling about Yorkshire’s incredible transformation. Hearing her trace the region’s journey from industrial powerhouse to ‘Motorway City’ to today’s sustainability hub reminded me exactly why we were all there.
Kate Hutchinson’s story genuinely moved me. Learning how this entire conference grew from her personal passion and network into something so meaningful felt both humbling and inspiring.
Lord Deben was someone who’d been fighting this fight since the 1980s, still burning with passion in his eighties. His unwavering belief in the opportunities ahead, not just the challenges, left me feeling energised and reminded me why this work matters so deeply.”
Eve Procter, Senior Account Executive
“My recent attendance at Regeneration Earth proved to be an incredibly insightful and engaging experience. Among the highlights was a compelling talk on GreenTech Innovations, featuring expert speakers from Flotilla, Climate Futures, and Aquatrust Water & Ventilation Ltd., who shed light on groundbreaking advancements in sustainable technology.
I also gained valuable knowledge from a discussion focused on Green Energy Solutions in the UK, which explored the funding opportunities and support available to both businesses and individuals pursuing net-zero initiatives like solar panel installations.
Another particularly thought-provoking session was a Fireside Chat featuring Jordan McKay from Forum of the Future and Cressida Curtis from Wates; their discussion on circular construction was both insightful and truly got the audience contemplating new approaches.”
Stephanie Wright, Strategic Content Lead
“Regeneration Earth UK Conference 2025 was a brilliant experience and a proud moment for us at Halston B2B as we showcased our commitment to sustainable storytelling at our stand.
One of my standout moments was attending the talk “The Race for Talent: Building a Green Workforce at Scale.” It explored how businesses can cultivate the next generation of sustainability professionals and scale up the skills needed for a greener economy. The speakers shared powerful insights into how companies can lead this shift, not just through hiring, but by embedding sustainability into their workplace culture.
I loved speaking with other attendees and connecting with like-minded individuals who are passionate about sustainability. It was great to represent Halston B2B and contribute to the conversation on how storytelling can be a powerful tool for driving environmental action.”
Ewan Pogson, Creative Executive
“2025 was my first time attending ReGeneration Earth (part of the Yorkshire Sustainability Festival), but it did not disappoint!
While capturing content for our client Imageco, who proudly printed, installed and derigged the signage for the entire show, I attended 2 captivating talks! The first being ‘Nature Works: Creating Careers in Climate and Biodiversity’, which discussed the importance of creating careers in climate and biodiversity. It was fascinating learning about the new generation of a sustainability workforce, and the aims to revitalise rural communities!
I also attended ‘Selling Sustainability to The Masses’, delivered by Kate Hutchinson. Kate tackled the inclusivity of sustainability, highlighting the working-class perception of sustainability as a middle-class problem. With sustainability being everyone’s responsibility, Kate reflected on her own Barnsley upbringing and discussed the proud sentiments of mining communities, for their key role as ‘grafters’ of Britain.
Kate’s vision of connecting rural Yorkshire communities to sustainability taps into drawing connections to the manufacturing and mining heritage of Yorkshire, and empowering these communities to resume the role of powering the country, using today’s greener technologies.”
Jessica Farrow, Group Head of Digital Communications and Insight
“On the first day, I attended ‘Who is Pioneering the Most Innovative Green Energy Solutions in the UK?’ This really engaging panel provided some excellent takeaways. Dr Steve Hall inspired me with his mission to bring green energy innovation to as many communities as possible. Emma Lower gave fascinating insights into the lending landscape behind the energy transition and the various funding pots available for renewable energy adoption.
It was my first time hearing about ‘regenerative energy’ – the concept of people sharing their surplus energy with those who need it.
On the second day, one of my highlights was the ‘Circular Buildings – How to keep building materials in use’ fireside chat. This was probably my favourite talk of the day! I learned we need to focus on ‘regeneration’ rather than just ‘net positive’ or ‘sustainable’ to create a Just Future. The key insight was changing our approach to buildings by using existing materials, though the major barrier is knowing what’s available in our current building portfolio.”
ReGeneration Earth reminded us why authentic sustainability storytelling matters more than ever, and the insights we gained will undoubtedly shape how we help our clients communicate their sustainability journeys with clarity and impact.
