LinkedIn Introduces: Creator Mode

LinkedIn has now introduced ‘creator mode’ where you can post a selection of images and videos for 24 hours before the content vanishes, similar to the likes of social media giants Snapchat and Instagram.

Use it right and do it well!

This feature holds many benefits such as providing you with the ignition for improving your engagement daily by allowing you to give snippets into what you do, how you work, and even shortened brand videos. As humans, we love interaction and thrive off communication. This feature is another opportunity to interact with topics and audiences that interest us. Creator mode allows individuals to establish their voice on LinkedIn by posting content around the topics for which they want to be known for. 

You need to think of this feature as another way of getting in front of your audience. Be strategic in your messaging to grow your messaging. 

How can you do it? 

Remember that this feature is only available on the mobile app, again, similar to the likes of Snapchat and Instagram.

  • Step one 

Download the LinkedIn mobile app and ensure you have the latest version which will allow you to take advantage of the latest features. (Unless you are in China, this feature is not available for you) 

  • Step two

Select the cross next to your profile image, this will allow you to add your content. You can now choose if you would like to use pre-existing content from your mobile device or capture real-time footage.

  • Step three

You are now on your way to becoming a wizard. Once your content is selected and it is ready for review, this is where you can add stickers or text to your content. To re-size any images simply tap and hold the item. If you want to trial anything and decide that this isn’t for you, just drag and drop it into the trash bin.

  • Step four

Now the final step, select the share button and if you want to add another story just simply follow steps 1, 2 and 3 all over again.
