Meet the Team – Evie
Tell us a bit about yourself
I love travelling and seeing new places and cultures. I have a bucket list of places as long as the Great Wall of China to visit. My top three places would have to be:
- The Amazon Rainforest: I’ve always been really interested in the uncontacted Indians of the Amazon; I’d love to be involved in some form of work around this.
- It would have to be Antarctica, I’d love to do an expedition.
- The Galapagos Islands would be amazing to visit, to see the giant tortoise!
What is your role within Halston Marketing?
I am the Campaign Executive for clients like the NHS Sustainability Partnerships. I am responsible for the online and offline events and marketing. This means I’m involved in everything from email campaigns, event set-up and management, social media and onsite content strategies and execution.
Tell us one thing you’ve learnt in your time with the company?
Using your colleagues to discuss your work and gain feedback helps to spark new and creative ideas or new ways of managing and planning your work. Never brainstorm alone!
Do you have any advice for aspiring marketing professionals?
Do your research, ensure you have the insight and understanding of any campaign objectives in order to effectively reach your audience’s expectations.
If you could meet one famous person, who would it be and why?
Ed Sheeran, I love his music! Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to see him live as either it was abroad when I was in the UK or I was abroad when he was in the UK, I can’t win!
If you could work with one brand, what would it be?
Red Bull! Coming from an event background I’ve always enjoyed following Red Bull events as they’re always daring, fun and creative. My favourite has to be Flugtag, an event that takes place all over the world and anybody can get involved. Competitors are to build their flying machine under the specifications set by Red Bull, normally located at the coast enabling competitors to fly their machines off the piers and into the sea. The machines are to be unsinkable and entirely constructed using only environmentally friendly materials and to be powered by humans.
These events are the personification of the brand, and it’s the epitome of value optimisation. Letting your fans, and potential customers be a part of your brand like that is a sure-fire way of improving your revenue stream through community marketing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years time, I’d like to see myself being successful in my career and having a well-balanced work and personal life. Not forgetting to tick off some more adventures off my bucket list!
