West Yorkshire Manufacturing Advisory Board Presents:

Advancing Manufacturing Futures

At the end of 2024, we were approached to collaborate with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Advisory Board to run an event focussed on supporting the manufacturing sector in West Yorkshire, funded by Lloyds Bank.

Advancing Manufacturing Futures (AMF) took place on February 26th, 2025, at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.

Aims

West Yorkshire boasts a rich manufacturing heritage and continues to be a key player in the UK’s industrial landscape. Supporting this vital sector is a core priority for the region, and a key stakeholder in this effort is the West Yorkshire Manufacturing Advisory Board (WYMAB). WYMAB works to bring together manufacturers, stakeholders, and policymakers to address key challenges and opportunities whilst championing the interests of manufacturing businesses and promoting the region as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

Recognising the pivotal moment for manufacturers of all sizes, WYMAB wanted to create a standout event where manufacturers’ voices could directly inform key decision-makers. They wanted to cultivate invaluable networking opportunities, fostering partnerships and the exchange of critical insider knowledge… the results speak for themselves!

B2B Event Management

What we did

We kicked off the partnership with WYMAB by creating the full concept of the event, starting with the name, event branding and full marketing communications strategy.

It was then over to our team of B2B events specialists to bring the event to life through the management of:

  • The guest list
  • All promotional assets, from social media to the development of the event’s web app
  • Event branding for pre-, during-, and post-event communications (like signage)
  • The full run of show – creating concepts for six individual workshops and two business panels
  • Sponsorship – including seven different businesses from all over the UK
  • Exhibitors – we secured thirteen exhibitors who showcased their businesses throughout the day
  • Speakers – we had Mayor Tracey Brabin delivering the keynote, along with many other industry experts who shared their own experiences, tips and success stories
  • Photography & videography briefing
  • An in-house built web app with a host of useful information for guests to use in the run up to AMF and during the event itself

 

The day unfolded with two thought-provoking panel discussions and six interactive workshops, each designed to actively involve attendees. Participants were encouraged to contribute their perspectives, pose challenging questions, and articulate their concerns, ensuring a truly collaborative and impactful experience.

The event achieved its aim of bringing together over 100 manufacturers, with panels featuring a diverse representation of specialists from both large enterprises and small to medium-sized businesses.

Sustainable branding and signage

Working with our main events partner, Imageco, we designed and built multiple different types of signage to bring the event to life.

These included:

  • Way finders, guiding delegates to sign in
  • Pull up banners made from Xanita, which is 100% recyclable, these promoted the event as well providing a great opportunity to showcase our event sponsors
B2B Event Branding

For the event, we developed an in-house no-code web app to act as the hub of information for delegates. This was used not only in the lead up and during the event, but also to gather feedback once the event was over.

From the full agenda and speaker bios to details about the breakout sessions and event sponsors, the app reduced the number of queries for our team, and helped make the day run as smoothly as possible.
